So guys, here’s the deal – I’ve completed my Masters! Woo! That’s the main thing that’s happened since my last update, which in turn means LOTS of work has been done on Anna’s Room. I know I’ve been promising new material to show off, and I swear I’ll put something together to show off soon enough. Truth is though I’m trying not to give too much of the game away, and all my effort is currently going into a game design document that a friendly chap has requested I put together for him. He is a friendly chap I greatly, greatly admire, and so I’m putting him as priority number one.

What that basically means is that even I don’t know the immediate future of Anna’s Room, and a lot of it depends on what becomes of this pitch. All I can say for now is thank you, so so much for checking in on the site and all the support you guys have given the game in various ways and in various places, and also I guess… stay tuned for more news in the near future!

Second thing I wanted to discuss today was my recent attempt to win me a new phone. Sounds lame, yeah, but the attempt resulted in an animation people seemed to love and so I figured I should share it with you guys. The comp finished days after I handed in my Masters and I took it as an opportunity to do something a little different for a day, particularly something I could do with my son who has been neglected too often as a result of the hours I’ve put into Anna’s Room. It goes without saying that he was the star of the animation, and made the whole thing possible. So here it is…

It didn’t win the comp for me unfortunately, but it did win me an amazing piece of fiction in response to the animation. This is from the pages of Kotaku AU from a guy known only as ‘Plainview’. In response to the animation he wrote something indescribable, something amazing.

And so I ended the whole saga with this dedication to Plainview and his story…
